With tons of amazing electronic dance music artists transpiring all throughout the country, Southern California is absolutely one location who caters a large fraction of these producers and DJ’s, such as Steve Aoki, Reid Speed, TJR, and Diplo.  Out of the very few female EDM producers that have been emerging from this bunch, Brazzabelle, a Los Angeles resident and producer from PIE Artists, is one who has been displaying remarkable stand-out talent and is receiving tremendous recognition for it as well. With such crowd-pleasing performances and her amazing production of,”Break Your Body” and “Elevator” (Circuit Freq Records), this talented young lady has achieved the title of “leading woman in nightlife,” from 944 Magazine, and earned herself residencies at some of Southern California’s prominent venues such as Voyeur in San Diego, Avalon Hollywood, and the Yost Theater in Orange County.  The lovely Brazzabelle spoke with SoCal EDM and gave us an inside on what’s to come for her, and an exclusive mix that is definitely going to keep you grooving for quite some time.

SoCalEDM:  Can you give us a little introduction about yourself?
BRAZZABELLE: Hi! I’m Brazzabelle, a DJ and Producer from Los Angeles. I make big room tracks that incorporate my favorite elements from House, Electro, and Techno. I am a resident with LED Presents and you can find me playing all over Southern California at venues like Voyeur, Wavehouse, Yost Theater, and Avalon Hollywood.

SoCalEDM:  Where are you from?

SoCalEDM:  How would you describe your sound?
BRAZZABELLE: Big Room Happy House

SoCalEDM:  Who or what are your influences in music production?
BRAZZABELLE: I am really influenced by GTA, Congorock, Clockwork, Moska, Fedde Le Grand, and Diplo.

SoCalEDM:  Are there any artists out there you currently would like to collab with?
BRAZZABELLE: My dream collaboration would be with Calvin Harris, I think his work is genius!

SoCalEDM:  Is there any track would you say was the most interesting for you to have worked on?
BRAZZABELLE: My most recent release “Drop the Beat” because it was my first collaboration with a vocalist, which was really exciting!

SoCalEDM:  Brazzabelle has performed at tons of venues, especially out here in Southern Cali: Cinespace/Dim Mak Studios, Avalon, Voyeur. Any favorite venues you would say is your favorite?
BRAZZABELLE: Voyeur is my favorite venue because it’s always packed and I love how dark and intimate it is.

SoCalEDM:  What would you say is the best &/or worst thing about performing?
BRAZZABELLE: The best part about performing is the performance itself; the crowd, the energy, the party. The worst part is traveling to the performance.

SoCalEDM:  How is your working method with such a busy schedule?
BRAZZABELLE: I work on tracks anytime I get a chance even if it’s in the car on the way to a gig. But lately I have started setting more goals and deadlines for my tracks to keep the pace up, because otherwise I would just keep tweaking tracks forever.

SoCalEDM:  Do you have any current or upcoming projects?
BRAZZABELLE: I just released my single “Drop The Beat” with the super talented vocalist Zashanell on Into The Am records earlier this month, and am working on my next EP, which I hope to have finished and released by early 2013. I also just wrapped a collab track with Craig Williams, and have a few more collabs in the works!

SoCalEDM:  Any shows coming up for Brazzabelle?
BRAZZABELLE: I’ll be playing at Voyeur 9/28 in San Diego, and Tiki Bar in Costa Mesa on 9/29

For more dates you can follow me on facebook

SoCalEDM:  Any favorite records you currently listening to?
BRAZZABELLE: Here are a few of my favorite tracks right now

SoCalEDM:  If we looked into your ipod, itunes, or music player right now what would you say would be the randomest/weirdest thing we would find?
BRAZZABELLE: Hunger Games Audiobooks

SoCalEDM:  What do you do for fun outside of working on music?
BRAZZABELLE: If I’m not working I’m most likely hanging out at Disneyland haha. It’s my favorite place in the whole world; I go there a couple times a month.

SoCalEDM:  If you weren’t making music, what would you be doing?
BRAZZABELLE: I am actually living a double life right now. I have a 9-5 at a women’s fashion company which I absolutely love, then when I come home my music work begins!

SoCalEDM: What can we expect for 2013 from Brazzabelle?
BRAZZABELLE: You’ll have to wait and see!

SoCalEDM:  Any last message to the fans out there?
BRAZZABELLE: I LOVE YOU!! I have the best fans ever and appreciate them so much.
